Breast Reconstruction
Reconstruct breasts after mastectomy. Best procedure determined in consultation with Dr. Hughes. Best results often require two separate surgical procedures. Most common involves use of a tissue expander -- a special implant placed beneath skin and muscle – to create tissue to replace tissue lost. Later, tissue expander is replaced with a permanent implant, and nipples and areola are reconstructed.
