Rhytidectomy (Face Lift)

Improve sagging facial skin, jowls, loose neck skin by removing excess fat, tightening muscles, redraping skin, generally on men and women over 40. Incisions begin in the hairline and follow normal contour of ear, then continue beneath earlobe along back of ear and back into hairline. A short incision beneath chin helps tighten neck muscles. Goal is to remove “tired” looks and restore more youthful appearance.

Length:   5-6 hours
Anesthesia:   Local with sedation or general.
In/Outpatient:   Outpatient.
Recovery:   Back to work: 2-3 weeks. More strenuous activity: 2 weeks or more. Bruising: 2-3 weeks. Limit sun exposure.
Duration of Results:   Usually 5-10 years.
